Week #2 of Homeschooling begins. Although this is review for her, I am going through it systematically to see where the gaps in her knowledge are.
This is what our week looks like:
Language: Letter B – recognition and tracing/writing of uppercase & lowercase, ASL, phonics.
Math: Focusing on writing numbers 1 & 2, patterns, simple addition and subtraction using counting bears.
Scripture memorization in conjunction with AWANA Cubbies and Character Builders book.
We are also doing some fun Christmasy crafts, making cookies for her former preschool classmates, and painting her salt dough ornaments. This Friday is the Christmas program at the preschool, which we will be attending.
Every morning after breakfast, I also give her some time for Table Activities, rotating between puzzles, lacing, blocks, drawing, and playdoh.
Some of the wonderful free resources I’ve been tapping into:
- Education.com for printables
- The Studio by Kiwi Crate for craft ideas
- Pinterest for activities and crafts
- ABC Scripture Memory Cards by I Can Teach My Child
- In Lieu of Preschool
